RAID Projects – Dancer Rainbows On Mulholland Drive
I thought of David Lynch’s intro to Mulholland Drive when I walked into RAID Projects earlier this month. Dancers. Dancers in rainbows. Swing dancers. Then I walked around more and saw texture. Massive texture, small texture, BIG texture. It was great. I don’t know. I’m not good at explanations today – drank too much coffee. But I love this show. Something about the colors, the shapes amongst shapes, and then the shapes without shapes. Aesthetically smart and melodious in the room with credit to the three artists that gave it jazz: James Boulton, Chelsea Dean, and Jay Lizo.
