The hardcore band Trash Talk leaked the location of an invite-only Nike SB event they were playing via Instagram and so a line of their fans was formed at the entranceway. However, chaos erupted right as the group hit the stage because it caused many of their fans who had been waiting for hours in line to hop over the fence [see pictures below] and crowd the street. My friend, a fellow blogger and I, happened to be outside just as the police came in. Well, actually a little bit before too, when they drove by to tell everyone to get onto the sidewalk. They came back again and this time seemed to mean business seeing as a swarm of what seemed like 500 people came running towards us, since we were standing about 100 ft from the back of the line. We had no interest in either the possibility of getting hurt or being caught in a swarm, so we swiftly made it back to my car as many others hurried to their vehicles as well speeding off at breakneck paces to avoid being arrested. Although, I’ve only heard hearsay that tasers were used and I’m unsure if any arrests were actually made. There was a lot of activity though and I can only recant that seeing a swarm of tattooed punk rock fans running towards you is quite shocking. Even the girls who were working the table outside came into the warehouse earlier on to get away from the madness.

If none of the chaos had ensued, it would’ve been a pretty cool party to celebrate the launch of a new Nike SB x Levi’s venture. Inside was a wonderful taco truck and set of industrial ramps that people could skate on. There were also these incredible space-age looking installations that featured the new items in the collaborative line, including a very cool magnifying glass you could roll over a set of various pictures and an interactive display that aggregated Instagram photos taken on the grounds.
