Thomas Doyle is a sculptor from New York, who’s work truly amazes me. He is able to turn images of terrible catastrophes into objects of beauty, which is one of the rarest and most powerful traits an artist can possess. So rare in fact, I can’t think of another sculptor able to execute such a challenge. And if his sculptures haven’t already blown your mind, then his photographs will, since it’s almost hard to convince yourself that the characters you’re looking at are smaller than a single centimeter tall. Thomas Doyle’s exhibit Surface to Air will open at LeBASSE Projects in Culver City on November 12th.
