Ancient Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle
Is this 17th century Japanese sculpture evidence of an ancient Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle? Kevin Eastman drew the rad pizza eating heroes as we know them today, but it’s possible that an ancient craftsman had the idea long ago. This particular piece and the others featured below are part of the exhibit “Urban Netsuke“ at the Pavilion for Japanese Art inside the LACMA Museums in Los Angeles, CA.
