John Kricfalusi and Jim Smith, the co-creators of Ren & Stimpy, worked together to create this John Wayne portrait. It’s really interesting to see the before and after images, since they provide a great example of how the artists worked together to create something fantastic. Jim Smith drew the initial sketch which to me looks equally as cool as the finished product inked by John K. It’s no wonder that both artists are founding members of Spumco, the animation studio behind the greatest cartoons of the last 20 years.
